कभी-कभी एक ताना भी एक नए राज्य की स्थापना का कारण बन जाता है इसका सहज अनुमान लगाना मुश्किल है लेकिन यह सत्य है कि बीकानेर नगर की स्थापना के पीछे एक ताना ही था जिसका जवाब देने के लिए बीकानेर एक राज्य बन गया। इतिहास में उल्लेखित घटना इस बात का प्रमाण है कि एक बार जोधपुर नरेश जोधा सिंह अपने दरबार में बैठे थे। उन्होंने राजकुमार बीका को अपने काका कांधल से कानाफूसी करते और मुस्कराते देखा तो उन्होंने ताना देते हुए कहा कि काका भतीजा दोनों ऐसे मुस्करा रहे हैं जैसे कोई नया गढ़ बसाने जा रहे हों, फिर क्या था राजपूती खून तैश में आ गया और बीका सिंह राजपूती शान से जोधपुर नरेश के सामने गर्व से बोले कि क्या मुश्किल है। बीका तो नया राज बसा के ही दिखायेगा।

BIKANER

नापा सांखला जो पहले जांगल प्रदेश के शासक थे, जिन्हें बलुचियों ने वहां से हटा दिया था वह दरबार में उपस्थित थे, उन्होंने भी व्यंग्य का जवाब दिया- बीका जंगलू जीते। नया प्रदेश जीतने की दृढ़ इच्छा के साथ राव बीका अपने चाचा कांधल और नापा सांखला के साथ 30 सितम्बर 1435 को मारवाड़ से रवाना हुए। इस समय बीका के साथ एक सौ सवार और 500 पैदल सैनिक थे। राव बीका ने अपनी शूर वीरता और साहस से आसपास के जाटों सांखलो और भाटियों को हरा कर इस रेगिस्तानी भू-भाग का काफी क्षेत्र अपने अधिकार में ले लिया। वह देशनोक पहुंचे, वहां करणी माता मंदिर में अपनी श्रध्दा अर्पित की।

कहा जाता है कि बाद में राव बीका अपने काफिले सहित कोडमदेसर गांव पहुंचे। वहां नेरिया जाट अपनी भेड़ बकरियां चरा रहा था। गडरिए को राव बीका ने अपना मंतव्य बताया। गडरिए ने स्पष्ट कहा कि मैं आपको वो स्थान बता सकता हूं जो नए राज्य की स्थापना के लिए बेहतरीन है लेकिन नए राज्य के साथ आपको मेरा नाम भी जोड़ना होगा। राव बीका ने उसकी शर्त मान ली। नेरिया बीका जी के साथ राती घाटी पहुंचा और एक स्थान पर जाकर कहा कि यही वह उपयुक्त स्थल है। गडरिए ने इस पर अपना स्पष्टीकरण देते हुए कहा कि वह यहां भेड़ बकरियां चराने आया करता है। एक दिन उसके रेवड़ से एक भेड़ बिछुड़ कर यहां रह गई और रात्रि में उसी भेड़ ने इसी स्थान पर एक केर के वृक्ष के पास बच्चे जन्मे, उस रात भेड़ियों ने आक्रमण कर उसके बच्चों को खाना चाहा। परंतु उस भेड़ ने भेड़ियों का सामना इतनी दृढ़ता से किया कि भेड़िए आखिर भाग गये। प्रात: काल गडरिया जब अपनी भेड़ को ढूंढ़ता हुआ यहां पहुंचा तो लहुलूहान भेड़ को अपने बच्चों की सुरक्षा करते हुए पाया। गडरिए ने कहा कि जिस स्थान पर भेड़ जैसे डरपोक जानवर में इतनी शक्ति आ जाए वह स्थान भला राज्य के लिए कैसे उपयुक्त नहीं होगा। यही वो भूमि है। राव बीका ने गडरिए की बात को तुरंत मान लिया और उसी स्थान पर बीकानेर स्थापना के आदेश दे दिए और राज्य के नाम के आगे प्रथम दो अक्षर स्वयं के नाम के और बाद के दो अक्षर नेरिया के नाम से मिलाकर वैसाख मास शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वितीया विक्रम सम्वत 1545 से बीकानेर राज्य की स्थापना हुई। कहा भी जाता है :

पनरे सौ पैतालवे सुद वैसाख सुमेर,
थावर वीच थरपियों बीको बीकानेर।

राव बीका की विक्रम संवत 1561 में मृत्यु के बाद उसके दस बेटों में राव नरू ने बीकानेर की राजगद्दी प्राप्त की। लेकिन अपने पांच महीनों के ही अल्प शासनकाल मे उन्होंने राव बीका की ओर से तलवार की शक्ति से जीती गई भूमि के अनेक भागाें पर अपना अधिकार खो दिया। राजगद्दी प्राप्त होने के पांच माह बाद ही राव नरू का देहान्त हो गया। जब राव नरू का छोटा भाई राव लूणकरण उत्ताराधिकारी बना। लेकिन राज्य के विस्तार की लालसा में नारनोल के नवाब से युध्द की घोषणा कर दी। नारनोल के नवाब की मदद के लिए जैसलमेर राव आए। युध्द के दौरान लूणकरण वीर गति को प्राप्त हुआ। 1570 ई. में राज्य की उभरती साम्राज्यवादी मुगल शक्ति के साथ संधि हुई। मुगल शक्ति के सरंक्षण में यहां के शासकों ने विशेषकर राजा रामसिंह ने न केवल विद्रोही सामन्तों की शक्ति को कुचला बल्कि अधीनस्थ शक्तियों का भी पूरी तरह से दमन किया। उस काल में न केवल रामसिंह ने नए दुर्ग का निर्माण किया बल्कि साहित्य और कला के क्षेत्र में भी उल्लेखनीय प्रगति हुई। रामसिंह की ओर से सम्वत 1630 में बनाया गया मैदानी दुर्ग जूनागढ़ आज भी अपनी शान शौकत से अतीत की कहानी कह रहा है। बीकानेर एक अर्से से इस क्षेत्र की रियासतों में अग्रणी रहा है।

यहां के महाराजा चाहे वह डूंगरसिंह रहे हों या गंगासिंह या फिर सार्दुलसिंह सभी ने इस रियासत को सजाने, संवारने एवं प्रभावशाली रियासत बनाने का हर सम्भव प्रयास किया। बीकानेर में महाराजा गंगासिंह का शासनकाल स्वर्णकाल माना गया। उनके अथक प्रयासों से बीकानेर में नए युग का सूत्रपात हुआ। गंगासिंह एक कुशल प्रशासक और श्रेष्ठ राजनीतिज्ञ थे, उनके अथक प्रयासो से बीकानेर विश्व के मानचित्र पर आ गया। उन्होंने न केवल इम्पीरियल बार कान्फ्रेंस और पेरिस शांति सम्मेलन में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया बल्कि राष्ट्र संघ में उनकी जोरदार अपील के नतीजतन भारत को स्थान मिला। बीकानेर स्थापना दिवस को बीकानेर वासी बड़े धूमधाम से मनाते हैं। राव बीकाजी संस्थान और जिला प्रशासन की ओर से संयुक्त रूप से राव बीकाजी की टेकरी पर उनके मल्लयार्पण के साथ रंगारंग कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए जाते हैं।

बीकानेर के ही एक वासी विश्वविद्यालय रोजगार सूचना एवं मार्गदर्शन केन्द्र के कलाकार नगेन्द्र किराडू कहते हैं बीकानेर स्थापना दिवस की खुशी में इस दिन घर की छतों पर जबदरस्त पंतगबाजी होती है। एक तरह से मानो तो आखाबीज व आखातीज को पूरा बीकानेर ‘आसमा’ या यूं कहें कि घर की छतों पर होता है। दौराने इस घर-घर में खीचड़ा बनाया जाता है और इमली का पानी ‘इम्लानी’ खाकर-पीकर खुशी का इजहार किया जाता है।

Whatever you have explained about BIKANER city, is really Mind Blowing. I have read many books of ‘Bikaner Itihas Darshan’ but there was no deeply information about Bikaner as you have mentioned Neriya and regarding things.

Sir, I would like to suggest you one thing that You should have written this in English Language also so that Foreigners also can read and know about Bikaner City easily.

In 1488 AD the construction of fort was started by Maharja Raisingh Bahadur Of Bikaner instead of Maharaja Ramsingh.
He was a brave Rajput Scion who had again won all the Territories which were included by Rao BIKA but loosen by his anccestors.

कभी-कभी एक ताना भी एक नए राज्य की स्थापना का कारण बन जाता है इसका सहज अनुमान लगाना मुश्किल है लेकिन यह सत्य है कि बीकानेर नगर की स्थापना के पीछे एक ताना ही था जिसका जवाब देने के लिए बीकानेर एक राज्य बन गया। इतिहास में उल्लेखित घटना इस बात का प्रमाण है कि एक बार जोधपुर नरेश जोधा सिंह अपने दरबार में बैठे थे। उन्होंने राजकुमार बीका को अपने काका कांधल से कानाफूसी करते और मुस्कराते देखा तो उन्होंने ताना देते हुए कहा कि काका भतीजा दोनों ऐसे मुस्करा रहे हैं जैसे कोई नया गढ़ बसाने जा रहे हों, फिर क्या था राजपूती खून तैश में आ गया और बीका सिंह राजपूती शान से जोधपुर नरेश के सामने गर्व से बोले कि क्या मुश्किल है। बीका तो नया राज बसा के ही दिखायेगा।

नापा सांखला जो पहले जांगल प्रदेश के शासक थे, जिन्हें बलुचियों ने वहां से हटा दिया था वह दरबार में उपस्थित थे, उन्होंने भी व्यंग्य का जवाब दिया- बीका जंगलू जीते। नया प्रदेश जीतने की दृढ़ इच्छा के साथ राव बीका अपने चाचा कांधल और नापा सांखला के साथ 30 सितम्बर 1435 को मारवाड़ से रवाना हुए। इस समय बीका के साथ एक सौ सवार और 500 पैदल सैनिक थे। राव बीका ने अपनी शूर वीरता और साहस से आसपास के जाटों सांखलो और भाटियों को हरा कर इस रेगिस्तानी भू-भाग का काफी क्षेत्र अपने अधिकार में ले लिया। वह देशनोक पहुंचे, वहां करणी माता मंदिर में अपनी श्रध्दा अर्पित की।

In 1488 AD the construction of fort was started by Maharja Raisingh Bahadur Of Bikaner instead of Maharaja Ramsingh.
