ll Royal Cenotaphs ll

The royal crematorium has several exquistie cenotaphs (Chhatris) which were built in memory of the rulers of Bikaner royal family. The Chhatris (Cenotaphs) ofthe early rulers were made from red sand stone, ornamentation on which resembles very much with carving work on some of the buildings of Fathepur Sikri. The later cenotaphs were made from marble and very beautifully scupted and ornamente. Rajput paintings adorn the ceilings of some of the cenotaphs.
